Lisle, Ill — McCain Foods USA will expand its production capacity for frozen french fries in North America. The location of the expansion is McCain’s current plant in Burley, Idaho where it has been doing business for 20 years. Capital investments to support the expansion total more than $200 million to expand its state-of-the-art production facility. With the expansion, McCain expects to create more than 180 new positions in Burley directly.
“McCain has been a part of the Burley community since the 1960’s” said Jeff DeLapp, Regional President, North America “This investment will bring more jobs, continued partnerships with local potato growers and expanded capacity to meet increasing demand for McCain products”
This investment follows previous McCain expansion announcements in its specialty potato capacity in Plover, Wisconsin and most recently its $65 million investment in its facility in Florenceville, New Brunswick (Canada).
