I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of George Floyd, and so many other instances of hate crimes. In far too many parts of the world, people are unsafe because of who they are, how they look, who they love or how they worship. As a human race, I believe we are all in this together. We all have a responsibility to treat others with justice, compassion and empathy. We all have the power to act.
At McCain, we continue to take steps that create a safe and inclusive environment for all our employees. I also recognise the steps I must take personally. For me, this is about self-examination and listening to those whose lives are different from my own.
As a global family, we must support one another – now more than ever.
